Lone Star Quilt

This was one fun quilt to quilt! We have a feather set just designed for Lone Star Quilts, with a feather for the big corner squares, set in triangle and the lone star points! The borders have their own feathers! This is the quilt owner checking out her quilt! The Lone Star was hand pieced and had been a UFO for a long time. Claire says she's going to go home and finish a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. Cannot wait to see it.

This quilt was so big we could quilt four of the points and two of the triangles and then we had to swap the quilt around on the quilting frame. It was worth all the work.
This is me watching the machine quilt one of the corners!
I have a Halloween Lone Star quilt that is one of my UFO's. I'm inspired to rip out the stitch in the ditch I did on my home sewing machine and to quilt glow in the dark feather on it!

  1. This looks like vintage fabric. Feather quilting looks awsome. Can not wait to see the Halloween Lone Star.
